Sustainability and Clean Energy: Zellinger’s New Solar Power Plant
Zellinger’s new production facility in Cavaria con Premezzo was designed with a strong focus on environmental sustainability and energy efficiency.
To sustainably power the entire production facility, the company has installed a major 198.28 kWp photovoltaic system with a 215 kWh storage system. The system consists of 515 high-efficiency Meyer Burger Type C panels and 3 Huawei inverters. The installed panels achieve a module efficiency of 21.5% and a cell efficiency of 24.66%.
The decision to invest in on-site energy production stems from the desire to sustainably power the entire production facility, including the new technologically advanced machinery and the new heating system with electric heat pumps. However, the investment also represents a concrete step toward greener and more responsible production. Thanks to the new photovoltaic system, Zellinger estimates annual savings of approximately 98 tons of CO₂, equivalent to planting over 3,200 trees.
With this project, the company reaffirms its commitment to innovation, energy efficiency, and environmental sustainability, looking to the future with an increasingly responsible and growth-oriented vision.
